DESCRIPTION
GYNG are looking for a part time (3 days) Finance Officer to help with
all aspects of the financial administration of its projects. This role
will be required to implement effective systems to ensure compliance
with all requirements of funders. This position will report to the CEO
and Chairperson.
FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING DUTIES:
* Administer Payroll weekly using the current online, computerised
system for hourly and salary paid workers in the cr?che, youth
services and LTI programme.
* Maintain accurate accounts for each of GYNG?s projects and
support records to allow for transparency of funds.
* Reconcile Monthly Bank Accounts
* Prepare for end of year financial accounts/audit and liaise with
Accountant/Auditor
* Monthly Revenue Returns and yearly reconciliations
* Ensuring all statutory requirements of the organisation and its
funders are met
* Liaise with CEO, Managers and Finance Sub Group in preparing a
regular (every 6 weeks) financial report/income & expenditure report
to be presented to Board.
* Analysis of Childcare accounts and review/implement any changes
* Managing bank accounts monitor cash flow, review budgets.
* Liaises with staff regarding annual and individual hours
* Work with Childcare Manager to ensure weekly inputting of
childcare invoices/fees/outstanding balances are maintained
accurately.
* Process and record all monies received by the organisation
including grants, funding, service level agreements, donations etc.
SKILLS REQUIREMENT
* Relevant Qualification in Accountancy
* Financial Management (Minimum of 3 years)
* Understanding of government funding structures and grant schemes
* Understanding of payroll and computerised QuickBooks system
* Excellent Administrative and Organisation Skills
* Experience of working in the voluntary community sector
CONTRACT
Hours of work, 3 full days, **Apply on the website** hours. This
contract is subject to continued funding.
Successful candidate must be subject to Garda Vetting. 9 month
probation period will apply.
Salary will be discussed at interview stage.
